About the role
We are looking for experienced Cook who is passionate about providing an exceptional food offering to our residents, available to work every Saturday and Sunday between 07:00am-15:00pm.
Calvary Sandhurst is a warm and home-like residential aged care home in Carrum Downs providing leading aged care services with excellent lifestyle options and therapeutic support.
Your main duties will include:
Prepare and oversee the preparation of daily meals for residents that meet their special dietary requirements eg; texture modified, allergen compliant, culturally relevant.
Ensure the menu is adhered to and residents receive meals of choice.
Ensure all meals prepared and served are fresh, well presented, appetising and aromatic.
Acting as a point of contact for all Food Handlers in the business, as well as food safety authorities in the absence of the Chef Manager
About you
Significant experience in a similar role in the residential care or health care sectors.
Knowledge of the various legislative and regulatory requirements relevant to the catering service within the residential care sector.
Working knowledge of menu planning, ordering, managing stock levels, IDDSI, staff supervision and allergen management.
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (minimum)
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
Diploma of Hospitality
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (Health Care Competencies)
