About the role

As the Program Coordinator you will coordinate the women's wellness and recovery team to provide a service to new mothers and pregnant women who are wanting to overcome their alcohol and drug dependence. 

Working in a high demand environment, with a level of autonomy and efficacy, you will provide high quality engagement, assessment counselling and support services to your clients using your experience in evidence based practice principles for withdrawal, support and recovery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordination of the Women's Wellness team to meet the needs of the clients and service KPIs
  • Develop program resources and key documents that support the clinical and operational functioning
  • Manage a case load of clients providing clinical support, service coordination, referral and advocacy to assist clients to achieve their goals
  • Facilitate group work and processes autonomously

What you bring 

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Human Services discipline
  • Applied knowledge in contemporary evidence based AOD clinical practice
  • Demonstrated expertise in community-based service delivery with a sound knowledge of the potential risk elements specific to this type of environment
  • Experience in developing and delivering education programs and group facilitation with AOD clients
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage own workload
  • Highly developed communication and community engagement skills
  • Current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence
  • Working with Children’s check
  • Current vaccination status
  • COVID-19 vaccination is a mandatory requirement unless assessed exempt
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation


  • Experience in counselling AOD clients
  • Membership with either of the following professional bodies are preferable: Australian Associate of Social Workers (AASW) as a Social worker or The Australian Counselling Association (ACA)
