Occupational Therapist - Calvary, Lenah Valley Hospital - Hobart

Permanent opportunity - part time, with potential to go full time. Fixed term contract may be considered.

About the role
 
An exciting opportunity exists for an Occupational Therapist to join our Allied Health team at Calvary Healthcare Lenah Valley Hospital. The position will involve working across a variety of inpatient areas including Medical, Surgical, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care. 
 
Your main duties will include:
  • Working as an effective member of the multidisciplinary team in the assessment, planning, implementation and review of occupational therapy and multidisciplinary interventions and programs. 
  • Conduct functional, cognitive personal care and home assessments and provide appropriate education, advice and recommendations to patients, families and hospital staff based on the results. 
  • Participate in ongoing education delivery to staff, patients and families around the setup for functional environments, best practise pressure care and aids and equipment options. 
About you:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy
  • Current AHPRA registration 
  • Current Full drivers license
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy
  • Experience working in a hospital setting highly desirable
  • Experience conducting home assessments highly desirable
