About the role
As a Support worker - Catering you will make a difference each and every day in providing healthy, hearty and delicious meals prepared by our Chef. Reporting to the Home Manager, you will support the Chef/ Chef Manager and your team to deliver a high quality catering service to our residents. This is a casual Position with shifts across a fortnightly roster.
Key Responsibilities
- Support service delivery under the direction of the Chef/Cook
- Prepare daily meals and beverages that meet individual needs of each resident including special dietary requirements, allergies and culturally specific as instructed by the Chef or Cook.
- Work with Care team to plate and deliver meals, ensuring familiarity with menus and the needs and preferences of individual residents within the home
- Complete cleaning tasks in accordance with the cleaning schedule, filling in appropriate sign off sheets
- Document resident’s requirements and any “exceptional” changes which occurs for the resident on shift
About you
- Demonstrated experience in food preparation and food safety
- Food Handling Certificate (HLTFSE001 - Follow Basic Food Safety Practices) - Desirable
- Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement
- Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
- Ability to operate standard domestic and industrial equipment
