• Ensure environmental service standards are met and maintained, and the residents living environment is safe and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness
• Collects, sorts, washes, dries, sorts and distributes clothing and linen as per laundry instructions.
• Ensures adequate stocks of clean linen, towels and laundry skip bags are available in the designated storage areas in the home.
• Mend residents clothing as required and report any unusual incidents to the home manager.
• Maintain infection control standards at all times including the scheduling of laundry cycles.
• Completes sign off record forms for each shift, showing what cleaning tasks have been completed and document any carry over issues.
• Audits flat linen/towels etc. on a regular basis ensuring they are replaced as necessary.

• Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal
