Practice clinical dietetics in a supportive sub-acute environment. This position would include inpatient and community work.
Remuneration: $38.35 per hour
About the role
In this position you will plan, coordinate and deliver high quality Dietetic care to patients/clients of the Calvary Health Care Kogarah consistent with Calvary and South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures and standards.
The clinical dietitian is required to undertake quality improvement activities, education and training aimed at furthering the objectives of the position and department.
This is a full-time permanent role and will cover aged care, rehabilitation and palliative care clinical areas. You may work within the inpatient or community setting.
Your main duties will include:
Excellent service delivery and clinical Dietetics care of patients within Calvary services
Advocacy for the best practice nutrition care of your patients
Independent management of allocated case load
About you
Bachelor or post graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Australia.
Post graduate experience in aged care, rehabilitation and/or palliative care and good knowledge of current Dietetic Practices.
Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to exercise independent professional judgement on routine matters, commensurate with years of experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to quality improvement to improve service delivery and enhance patient care along with excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
Willingness to participate in a clinical supervision program with demonstrated ability to develop own systems for improving practice.
Demonstrated computer literacy with ability to easily learn new software.
Unencumbered Current Drivers Licence (Class C)
Ability to work within the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Kogarah
