About the role

We are looking for people to join our Melbourne team as Disability Support Workers in the community, part time and casual positions are currently available to work with the community care team.

  • As a support worker you will be supporting people with daily activities such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, assistance in the community and being a companion
  • Support workers will also support clients with personal cares, assistance with mobility and prompting with medication
  • Support clients to achieve their goals and make choices in partnership with other support networks.
  • Promote customer choice, positive routines and activities ensuring they are meaningful to the customer

We have clients living at home in Kew, Hawthorn, Richmond, Camberwell and surrounding suburbs. Where we can we will roster employees based on geographic location to minimize travel.

What you will bring

  • A Certificate IV Disability
  • Current and valid Driver’s Licence and insured, reliable motor vehicle 
  • NDIS Worker Screening clearance
  • Capacity to embrace a role that is meaningful for the community and yourself
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with a customer service orientation
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage time
  • Proficiency in use of technology such as smart phones, email and internet
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
