We are looking for Registered Nurses with experience in Postnatal and Paediatric Nursing or Registered Nurses with an interest in Midwifery to join our team at Calvary Riverina Hospital!

About you 

We are looking for Registered Nurses both with a post graduate certificate in Paediatric OR experience in Paediatric Nursing AND Special Care Nursing. 

We are also happy to consider Registered Nurses that have an interest in Midwifery. 

Registered Nurses with an interest in Postnatal Care and Paediatric Care will work alongside the Midwifery Team at Calvary Riverina to deliver the highest standards of care for birthing families as well as medical and social care of children from birth to adolescence. This role is a great entry point into maternity care, for Registered Nurses with an interested in pursuing a future career in Midwifery.

Key Responsibilities

• Giving direct postnatal care to mothers and newborns in Calvary's maternity unit.
• Provide specialised care to babies who require additional support and monitoring following their birth.
• Medical and social care of children from birth to adolescence.
• Assist in women's health (gynaecological and breast surgery).

What you bring

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
• Post graduate certificate in Paediatrics Nursing OR experience in Paediatric Nursing and Special Care Nursing
• Registered Nurses will be considered with an interest in Midwifery.
• Demonstrated understanding of the role of the Registered Nurse within the maternity setting, in a private healthcare framework
• Demonstrated high level interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills that support effective collaboration across the interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrated clinical problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated understanding of Calvary Values; Hospitality, healing, stewardship, respect in providing quality care to women and their babies.
• Demonstrated understanding of the role of the nurse in applying work health and safety, infection control and quality improvement principles.
