About the role
Are you passionate about injury management and looking for an exciting opportunity where you can make a meaningful impact in a supportive and rewarding environment?
Join the Calvary team as a Return to Work and Injury Management Specialist, where you willl play a key role in providing injury management, rehabilitation, and workers' compensation services across our hospitals, residential care, and home care services. This permanent role is available on a full-time (1.0 FTE) or part-time (0.8 FTE) basis and is part of the regional work health, safety, and wellness team.
Based at our Regional Office in Adelaide, you will proactively manage workplace injuries, driving early intervention and return-to-work objectives while ensuring compliance with Calvary's Injury Management policy and legislative requirements. Additionally, you will collaborate with leadership teams to embed safety initiatives, manage claims effectively, and support the delivery of the National Work Health and Safety program.
Some of your main duties will include:
- Coaching and supporting managers in the best practice early intervention injury management approach.
- Supporting injured workers to recover and return to work on endorsed return to work programs
- Completion of high-quality documentation and reporting for our management teams.
- Partnering with WHS team members on injury trend insights and preventative activities.
About you
- Relevant experience in a RTW / Injury Management role
- Experience in the SA Self-Insurance Workers Compensation scheme
- Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead, persuade, negotiate, consult with, and provide advice on workers compensation claims management and rehabilitation issues
- Ability to effectively lead the coordination of workers compensation claims management processes and early intervention strategies
