Home Manager - Tiwi Islands
About the role
The Home Manager is responsible for the day to day operation of support and ensuring clinical services are provided to residential and community clients from the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, Flexible Aged Care Facility (Mulakunya) and programs on the Tiwi Islands.
This role has a strong focus on compliance and operational KPI's, and will ensure that the facility is complaint with legislative and statutory requirements, and meets financial expectations and optimise occupancy levels.
The role is accountable for developing and maintaining high quality and efficient care and that clinical services from a multi-disciplinary team through to lifestyle programs, diet and cultural activities are delivered. The position involves maintaining strong relationships with the local clinic and local providers on both Bathurst and Melville Islands.
The Home Manager provides leadership to the team through coaching, guidance and mentoring while ensuring residents and clients receive the highest standard of care available.
The position provides a strong and consistent presence to enable ongoing community relationships that will potentially extend and enable broader care and clinical services across the island communities.
