Accounts Receivable Supervisor
Full Time Position
About the role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Supervisor to join our dedicated, compassionate, and diverse team at Calvary Adelaide Hospital. In this vital leadership role, you will oversee the hospital’s billing department, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing to patients and insurance providers, as well as the prompt collection and processing of payments.
The successful candidate will play a key leadership role, providing guidance, support, and direction to the Accounts Receivable team to ensure smooth daily operations. This position requires a proactive and confident leader who can effectively manage workloads, mentor staff, and foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment. It’s a vital role within our dynamic healthcare setting, offering the opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care through strong leadership and effective financial administration.
Selection Criteria:
Essential
Demonstrated experience in supervising, motivating, and leading a team in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining positive and professional working relationships
Advanced computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong analytical thinking with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
Well-developed decision-making, negotiation, conflict resolution, and organisational skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Exceptional time management and the ability to prioritise competing demands effectively
Desirable
Previous experience in an administrative or accounts-related role within a healthcare setting
Knowledge of private health insurance fund processes and billing requirements
Experience using hospital systems such as iPM and CiA
What you bring:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
A genuine desire to be part of a team dedicated to caring for others within a mission-based organisation
