About the role

To work with the Service Coordinator and associated support employees to deliver a food service to clients of the Mulakunya Aged Care Service and Community Clients. Such food service with be nutritionally sound and meet the needs of residents and community clients .i.e. diabetics, renal etc.

Your main duties will include:

• Plan and cook meals daily for clients of the Mulakunya Aged Care program (including community clients, facility residents and employees).
• Clean stovetop and food preparation areas daily i.e. bench tops, floors, microwave etc. and ensure that a cleaning schedule exists to ensure that all other equipment is routinely cleaned.
• Perform other duties as directed by the site Line Manager or her delegate.

About you

• Completed minimum of Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery)
• Current Full Driver’s License
• Police Clearance (within 6months or willingness to obtain one)
• NDIS Clearance (or willingness to obtain one)
• Evidence of previous experience in the planning and cooking of meals
• Safe working knowledge of the Australian Food Standards 
• Sound working knowledge of infection control practices and Standard Precautions
