THE ROLE:
The Clinical Support Officer (CSO) is responsible for assisting the Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) by undertaking administration tasks relevant to maintaining a high quality clinical service. The CSO will perform the administrative tasks required by NUM to enable the NUM to perform their clinical responsibilities. The CSO will work with limited direction and guidance with regards to work priorities from the 3 outpatient cancer services teams. The CSO will possess organisational skills required to set priorities and monitor workflow in the outpatient cancer service team. Decisions affecting the overall functioning and management of the ward / unit remain the responsibility of the Nurse Unit Manager.
