About the role
The Accounts Receivable Officer (Patient Billing) reports to the Patient Services Manager and is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing of patients accounts following discharge along with other duties such as receipting, patient refunds, health fund audits, debt collection, billing tenants and quoting for self-insured patients. This is strictly a part-time role supporting the Senior Accounts Receivable Officer. Additional hours may be offered during periods of leave
Your main duties will include:
Billing patient accounts in accordance with both private and public contracts
Bank statement and receipting
Quoting for self-insured admissions
About you
Experience within the health fund industry is essential with the understanding of the relevant Health Funds, Health Insurance Commission, and Department of Veteran Affairs
Demonstrated computer literacy with accurate and proficient keyboard skills
Sound working knowledge of medical terminology
Attention to detail in financial affairs
