The Visiting Medical Officer (Anaesthesia) works with the surgical multidisciplinary team in providing excellent patient care within Calvary Mater Newcastle to maximise health outcomes for the community.
Provide clinical anaesthesia for surgical patients requiring advanced pain management and other hospital patients who require the assistance of a consultant anaesthetist.
Contribute to the professional development of senior and junior medical staff.
Supervise and teach rotational provisional fellows, registrars and JMOs in the department.
Work in collaboration with the Director of Anaesthesia to improve service delivery and patient management.
