In collaboration with the Director of Clinical Services (DCS), the Deputy Director of Clinical Services – Procedural Areas oversees an effective daily clinical operating environment within Calvary North Adelaide Hospital. The Deputy Director of Clinical Services – Procedural Areas is accountable for activities that enhance operational efficiencies, improve patient satisfaction and result in cost effective health care solutions.

The Deputy Director of Clinical Services – Procedural Areas will provide leadership and direction for the overall coordination and management of the Procedural Areas to meet hospital objectives. As a member of the Nursing Leadership Team, participates in planning, development and achievement of the strategic direction and ongoing operational performance of the Procedural areas within Calvary North Adelaide Hospital.

• Registration with AHPRA.
• Postgraduate qualifications in management, health services management, business administration or working towards.
• Substantial clinical experience in perioperative nursing.
• Excellent organisational, change management and time management skills.
• Experience in financial and human resource management including the development and engagement of staff.
• Demonstrated high level negotiation skills, problem solving skills, and the ability to liaise effectively with multidisciplinary team members.
• Ability to build strong working relationships with nursing teams, medical practitioners and other key stakeholders.
• Experience in the formulation, implementation and evaluation of strategies to achieve key business outcomes.
• Demonstrated commitment to, and understanding of, the principles of quality management, clinical research and policy development.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the requirements of the National Standards for Safety and Quality in Healthcare, relevant legislation and regulation and policies and procedures.
