About the role
In collaboration with the Director of Clinical Services (DCS), the Deputy Director of Clinical Services – Procedural Areas oversees an effective daily clinical operating environment within Calvary North Adelaide Hospital. The Deputy Director of Clinical Services – Procedural Areas is accountable for activities that enhance operational efficiencies, improve patient satisfaction and result in cost effective health care solutions.
The Deputy Director of Clinical Services – Procedural Areas will provide leadership and direction for the overall coordination and management of the Procedural Areas to meet hospital objectives. As a member of the Nursing Leadership Team, participates in planning, development and achievement of the strategic direction and ongoing operational performance of the Procedural areas within Calvary North Adelaide Hospital.
Your main duties will include:
Strong leadership skills, leading a dynamic team to deliver excellent patient care and meet KPI's.
Service Development and Innovation
Work Health and Safety responsibilities.
VMO engagement
About you
Registration with AHPRA.
Postgraduate qualifications in management, health services management, business administration or working towards.
Substantial clinical experience in perioperative nursing.
Excellent organisational, change management and time management skills.
Experience in financial and human resource management including the development and engagement of staff.
Demonstrated high level negotiation skills, problem solving skills, and the ability to liaise effectively with multidisciplinary team members.
Ability to build strong working relationships with nursing teams, medical practitioners and other key stakeholders.
Experience in the formulation, implementation and evaluation of strategies to achieve key business outcomes.
Demonstrated commitment to, and understanding of, the principles of quality management, clinical research and policy development.
Demonstrated knowledge of the requirements of the National Standards for Safety and Quality in Healthcare, relevant legislation and regulation and policies and procedures.
