About the Role

We have a Permanent Full-Time opportunity for a Nurse Unit Manager, commencing in January.

This role oversees surgical admissions at Lenah Valley Hospital and Day Surgery while leading a team of dedicated and experienced nurses. The position also includes managing the Pre-Admission Clinic, Discharge Planner, and Cardiac Liaison Nurse teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote quality customer service and excellence in patient care
  • Provide leadership and implement clinical and operational strategies in alignment with the local service plan
  • Uphold and promote the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Tasmania
  • Manage human, material, and financial resources effectively
  • Develop and advance the clinical specialty as a centre of excellence

What You Bring

  • AHPRA Registration
  • Recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
  • The ability to work independently, proficiently, and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others within a mission-based organisation
