About the Role
We have a Permanent Full-Time opportunity for a Nurse Unit Manager, commencing in January.
This role oversees surgical admissions at Lenah Valley Hospital and Day Surgery while leading a team of dedicated and experienced nurses. The position also includes managing the Pre-Admission Clinic, Discharge Planner, and Cardiac Liaison Nurse teams.
Key Responsibilities
Promote quality customer service and excellence in patient care
Provide leadership and implement clinical and operational strategies in alignment with the local service plan
Uphold and promote the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Tasmania
Manage human, material, and financial resources effectively
Develop and advance the clinical specialty as a centre of excellence
What You Bring
AHPRA Registration
Recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
The ability to work independently, proficiently, and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
A desire to join a team committed to the care of others within a mission-based organisation
