About the role

Calvary is on the lookout for a People and Culture Partner to join our team in either Newcastle or Sydney! This permanent part-time position involves working 50 hours per fortnight and offers a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of our workforce.

As a People and Culture Partner, you will play a key role in supporting managers with a wide range of matters, including performance management, grievances, workplace investigations, and disciplinary processes. 

In this role, you will become the go-to expert, providing invaluable advice, coaching, and support to our amazing team of people leaders and employees across Calvary Hospitals, Aged Care, and Home Care.

 
Your main duties will include:
  • Interpret, provide advice and apply employment legislation policies and procedures.
  • Provided accurate and timely advice, coaching and support managers and employees across all aspects of people and culture matters. 
  • Attend management and team meetings as required and share topical people and culture information, keep abreast of and understand current challenges facing Aged Care, Home Care and Hospitals
  • Develop trusted relationships and counsel with our Managers. 
 
About you
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR or related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in performance management, project management, workforce development, industrial/employee relations case management, change management
  • Proven ability to interpret relevant industrial instruments such as Awards and Enterprise Agreements, including classifications and rates of pay.
  • Highly-developed relationship management skills, including the ability to interact with, and gain cooperation from, internal and external stakeholders at various levels
