About the role

Calvary Adelaide Hospital is currently seeking enthusiastic and experienced Anaesthetic Nurses, for our busy and diverse Perioperative Suite. We are looking for dynamic, driven nurses, with a passion for patient centred care to work in our Perioperative Suite.

We have 20 theatre and procedural suites offering great diversity and interest focusing on the following specialties -

  • Orthopaedics, General, Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracics, Robotics, ENT, Endoscopy, Plastics, Urology and Ophthalmology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate perioperative nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary health care team, so as to achieve goals and positive health outcomes for all.
  • Take an active role in the coordination of nursing and health care ensuring independent and interdependent practice, accountability and responsibility for your own actions, and where applicable, delegation of care.

What you bring 

  • Current AHPRA registration.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in Perioperative Nursing, specialising in Anaesthetics.
  • Post-graduate qualifications in Anaesthetics with relevant clinical knowledge and expertise is highly desirable, but not essential.
  • Ability and drive to be adaptable and a 'Team Player'.
  • A passion to learn and expand knowledge base, as well as guide and support other staff.
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation.
  • Demonstrated communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
