About the role

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care, in a patient-focused environment.Working permanent part time over a 7 day rotating roster, the Registered Nurse provides excellence in health care standards, practices in accordance with legal requirements and the philosophy, objectives and procedures of Calvary North Adelaide Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will actively participate in all aspects of Oncology, Medical and Palliative care services.

Key Responsibilities

• Using a patient centred approach to patient assessment
• Maintaining high quality care for each patient
• Evaluating outcomes of care and initiating appropriate follow-up
• Develop patient care pathways which consider priorities, time frames actions and outcomes
• Evaluating and altering the patient care pathways in relation to changing patient needs in consultation with the Clinical Manager/Clinical Nurse/Multi-Disciplinary team

What you bring

• AHPRA Registration
• Demonstrated clinical experience in oncology/haematology nursing
• Completion of ADAC certification
• Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
• Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of the requirements of the National Standards for Safety and Quality in Healthcare, relevant legislation, policies and procedures
• A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
