Melbourne Graduate Nurse Program

About Calvary Bethlehem Hospital

Calvary Bethlehem Hospital is a publicly funded health service that has supported the Glen Eira community for over 80 years. In early 2023, it returned to its original site at 476 Kooyong Road, Caulfield South, moving from temporary facilities in Parkdale to the new Calvary Kooyong precinct. This integrated site combines Calvary Bethlehem’s specialist health services with premium retirement living at the Hyson Apartments, contemporary residential care at the Huntly Suites, in-home care services, GP consultations, and other healthcare supports to provide coordinated, accessible care.

The hospital is widely recognised for its leadership in treating Progressive Neurological Diseases, including Motor Neurone Disease and Huntington’s Disease, and for its specialist palliative care services, supporting thousands of patients and families across Victoria. Its interdisciplinary teams work closely with GPs, community health, aged care, disability services and other providers to ensure seamless care across inpatient services, clinics, day centres and home-based settings. Calvary Bethlehem also works with schools, councils and community organisations to build understanding around end-of-life wellbeing, grief and loss. As a denominational hospital, it receives Victorian Department of Health funding for public health programs and is fully accredited by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards.
