About you:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment. Provide key information about the role. We have part time opportunities available to work as part of a team on our Surgical/Medical Ward at Calvary St Vincent's. Our ward cares for many specialities including colorectal, vascular, general surgery, plastics, dental, urology and bariatric. There is also the opportunity for individuals to cross train into other areas such as HDU.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing safe, patient centred care.
  • Medication administration, wound care, admission, discharge, pre and post operative care, discharge planning.
  • Liaising with members of the multi disciplinary team.

What you bring:

  • AHPRA Registration
  • Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
  • Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
