- Remuneration: $61.36 - $62.84 per hour

About the role
The Social Worker Level 4 is responsible for the provision of social work services. This responsibility shall include provision of a social work service to patients and their families, liaison with other health care professionals within the Hospital and with other external agencies and contribution to the development of policies, procedures and services in the Alcohol and Drug Unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the administration and reporting requirements of the Alcohol and Drug Unit, for example assisting workload management and reporting, developing departmental policy and procedures relevant to clinical expertise, representing the department in relevant Hospital Area and professional meetings.
- Build knowledge and capacity within Alcohol and Drug team by sharing Social Work knowledge and skills relevant to a clinical speciality.
- Demonstrate advanced Social Work reasoning skills that enhance the service’s ability to manage more complex clients within the clinical speciality such as patients with dual diagnosis.
- Provide group-based education/intervention.

- Demonstrated experience working with/liaising with NDIS.
- Demonstrated experience working with patients with alcohol and drug issues.
- Demonstrated experience working with patients with mental health issues.
- Demonstrated experience assisting with child protection and homelessness issues.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise work and to work independently.
