About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring Registered Nurse to join our Orthopaedics team at Calvary. This is a permanent, part-time position (0.8 FTE – eight shifts per fortnight).
As a Registered Nurse in Orthopaedics, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred care to a range of post-operative patients on the Orthopaedic Ward. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to consolidate your skills in wound care, IV management, clinical deterioration response and holistic nursing practice, all within a knowledgeable, supportive team.
Your main duties will include:
- Post-operative management, including vital-signs monitoring and timely response to clinical deterioration.
- Wound care and drain management, ensuring dressing integrity and early detection of complications.
- IV management and safe medication administration, adhering to best-practice protocols.
- Risk assessments and interventions, proactively identifying and addressing patient needs.
About you
- Previous acute-care or hospital experience is preferred.
- Available for fully rotational shift work.
- Enthusiastic team player with excellent communication skills.
