About you
The Clinical Educator in collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Managers, provide necessary learning opportunities for staff in designated areas, using a variety of teaching strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Understand, support and promote the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Riverina
Assess and identify learning needs and objectives of individuals and groups
Develop, implement and evaluate clinical education programs that support the provision of quality nursing care in collaboration with the Education Manager and other relevant personnel
Provide clinical support
Provide education programs that demonstrate the principles of adult learning and reflective practice
Provide Learning packages and Competencies relevant to the Rehabilitation and Palliative Care Units
Provide Mentorship Program and support for new staff members
Collaborate with appropriate personnel ie. Doctors, Company Representatives and other Health Professionals to complement planned programs
Support and facilitate the change process
Attend to review of all relevant policies and procedures.
Promote review of current appropriate research and literature
Utilises current and appropriate research and Evidence Based Practice when planning education activities
Assists with the mandatory training nursing activities
Identifies and understands the needs and expectations of our customers.
Develop and maintain appropriate communication channels within the organisation
What you bring
AHPRA Registration as Registered Nurse
Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
Relevant post graduate qualifications in relevant area(s) of expertise and/or education are highly desirable.
Demonstrated the ability to effectively teach and preceptor nursing staff.
Minimum of 5 years’ post graduate clinical experience in a critical setting (ICU or CCU) is desired.
Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership qualities.
