About the role

The Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for overseeing the accounts payable and finance mail, overseeing invoice and reimbursement processing, supplier setup, and resolving AP queries, all while providing valuable administrative support to the Commercial Services team, with a strong focus on smooth and efficient accounts payable operations.

 

Some of your main duties will include: 

  • Assist and enhance the current functions of the Accounts Payable process
  • Provide assistance to procurement department including the administering of the supplier register
  • Ensure integrity of data is maintained so that the financial and reporting information is timely and accurate
  • Process journal and other financial transactions across all Community Care financial activities
  • Reconcile accounts
  • Provide leave assistance across various finance functions where required
  • Assist in the preparation of data required for audit purposes

 

What you bring  

  • Finance/Accounting qualification
  • Knowledge and experience in the Accounts Payable function
  • Sound level of commercial accounting practice and technical financial accounting skills
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in gathering information and analysing problems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience to work in a team, in collaboration with employees within the organisation and with external agencies and personnel
  • Numeric, attention to detail, computer literate, proven time management skills and the ability to work proactively and with minimal direction
  • Proficient in Excel and Spreadsheet applications and ability to adapt to new systems
