About the role
The Accounts Receivable Officer is a member of the Finance Team for the Calvary Aged Care stream operating under a shared service model to provide services across Australia.
This role will focus on active debtor management, and the AR Officer will play a key role in providing support to the Finance department as required and will also be responsible for the delivery of excellence, for tasks assigned to manage a portfolio for Accounts Receivable (AR) end-to-end.
The Accounts Receivable Officer will deliver a high standard of work, possess a strong attention to detail, and have the ability to prioritise conflicting tasks in a dynamic working environment.
Your main duties will include:
- Actively manage debtors, focusing on reducing outstanding debts and responding to account enquiries.
- Facilitate resident data entry and updates within the resident system (Epicor).
- Process and follow up on resident fees, including monthly statements, direct debit billing, and receipt processing.
- Manage Department of Health notifications and respond to related enquiries in a timely manner.
- Process invoices for sundry resident charges and ensure accurate account administration.
- Maintain bond and RAD registers in line with prudential compliance requirements.
- Manage resident events in Epicor, including notifications of discharge or death and online claiming processes.
- Process and reconcile Medicare funding while providing advice and support to key stakeholders.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in the administration of Accounts Receivable
- Sound knowledge of the receivables process
- Sound knowledge of administration and experience in Microsoft Suite
- Highly developed verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated high level analytical and account reconciliation skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and to prioritise conflicting tasks through effective time management
Desirable
- Experience in aged or community and/or health care
- Experienced in the use of resident management systems (Epicor preferred)
