About the role
The Relief Clerk provides administrative support across various departments within the hospital by covering planned and unplanned staff absences. This includes relieving staff who are on annual leave, personal leave, long service leave, or other approve leave, as well unexpected absences, The role ensures continuity of administrative services, minimises disruption to patient care and departmental operations, and provides flexible support where it is needed most. The Relief Clerk is expected to adapt to different work environments, processes, and teams while maintaining a high standard of customer service, accuracy, confidentiality and professionalism.
 
Selection Criteria
• Ability to perform a wide range of administrative tasks in a demanding workload, priorities work and meet deadlines.
• Experience in responding to a range of enquiries and determining the appropriate response in a complex work environment.
• Experience working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Demonstrated high level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing quality service and quality improvement initiatives in workplace practices and procedures.
• Ability to use computer hardware, software applications and electronic systems.
• Ability to work within the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Kogarah.
