• Remuneration - $117,745.00 - $147,664.00 per annum + superannuation + annual leave loading + salary packaging options

The Department of Clinical Toxicology provides an inpatient service for the management of poisoned and envenomed patients. For the management of deliberate self-poisoning patients, the department combines with the Department of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry as the Hunter Area Toxicology Service. The position involves the delivery of high quality, safe, effective medical care to the patients of Calvary Mater under the supervision of specialist staff, whilst undertaking learning and professional development in the area of Clinical Toxicology.

About you

• MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
• Currently participating in or completed an advanced training programme associated with an Australasian training body or recognised international equivalent
• A minimum of 3 years postgraduate hospital experience and a minimum of 1 year of postgraduate experience in general or subspecialty internal medicine, emergency medicine or intensive care
• Demonstrated communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to work unsupervised and work proficiently in periods of high demand and activity
• Demonstrated commitment to own personal and professional development
• Commitment to the Mission, Vision and Values of Calvary with the ability and desire to uphold these principles at all times
