About the role:

This Allied Health Assistant position is based at Calvary Launceston, working across both the St Luke’s and St Vincent’s campuses. The role is offered as casual or permanent part‑time (0.4 FTE) and is a day‑worker position, providing predictable daytime hours with no shift work.

As part of the Allied Health team, you will support clinicians and patients across a range of disciplines, contributing to high‑quality, person‑centred care in a collaborative hospital environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with multidisciplinary teams, supporting patient therapy programs, and contributing to smooth daily operations within the department.

Your main duties will include:
  • Supporting patient therapy programs — assisting therapists with implementing planned therapy activities, group programs and goal‑directed exercises

  • Maintaining equipment and resources — organising, tracking and setting up therapy equipment, and ensuring supplies and materials are ready for clinical use

  • Providing administrative and team support — helping with documentation, stock management, and day‑to‑day tasks that keep the Allied Health department running smoothly

About you
  • Strong communication skills with patients, families and the care teams

  • Organised and reliable with good time‑management

  • Collaborative team approach in a clinical environment

  • Comfortable with physical tasks and safe manual handling

  • Intermediate IT competency for documentation and admin tasks
