About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse to join the Day Oncology/ Haematology Unit, located in Kimberley House, at Calvary North Adelaide Hospital (CNAH). As a cancer nurse you will have the unique opportunity to impact others' lives. At, CNAH, you will be part of a team dedicated to providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with patients and the health care teams to provide the best possible outcomes. You will also be responsible for supervising and supporting junior staff. CNAH provides unrivalled opportunities for professional growth, with support from our Oncology/ Haematology Nurse Educator.
Your main duties will include:
- Providing care to patients with a variety of oncology and haematology conditions
- Work in a dynamic team, in a fast paced environment, assisting and supervising staff
- Consistently and enthusiastically deliver high levels of patient care
- Knowledge of and a demonstrated commitment to quality processes and evidence based practice
About you
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Background in Oncology/ Haematology Nursing, demonstrating clinical competence (minimum 3 years) - day treatment environment desirable.
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
- Completed eviQ ADAC version 4 competencies and completed or working towards Grad Dip Oncology Nursing
- Works well autonomously and in a team
- Competent in cannulation and CVAD management
