About the role
Calvary Health Care Bethlehem is seeking a compassionate and experienced Bereavement Counsellor to join our Allied Health and Wellbeing team. This role provides bereavement counselling and support to families, carers and significant others following the death of patients receiving care through our palliative care and progressive neurological disease services.
This is a part time 0.6 EFT position based at Calvary Health Care Bethlehem in Caulfield South, working within a supportive multidisciplinary environment committed to person-centred care, compassion and collaboration.
Your main duties will include:
- Provide bereavement counselling, support and follow-up services
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and risk management practices
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community services
About you
- Relevant qualification in Counselling, Social Work or Psychology
- Experience supporting people experiencing grief and loss
- Demonstrated understanding of professional boundaries and ethics
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Current Working with Children Check and Police Check
