About the role

The role and function of the RN Level 2 is to provide advanced clinical problem solving. This requires the Registered Nurse Level 2 to have advanced practice knowledge in Post Anaesthetic Care Unit Nursing and have the appropriate experience to provide clinical leadership. This is a full time role.

Your main duties will include:

The RN L2 works in a collaborative multidisciplinary team, acting as a clinical leader and role model
The RN L2 is expected to manage a portfolio of work related to the National Quality and Health Clinical Standards for PACU
The role deputises for the Clinical Nurse Consultant of PACU as requested in her absence when required

About you

Demonstrates evidence of advanced clinical knowledge and problem solving skills at an advanced level in PACU.
Post graduate qualifications in nursing or working towards the same or extensive experience in PACU
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of NSQHS Standards, Australian College of Operating Room Nurses Standards, Infection Control – AS5369 Standards and HICMR standards.
Competence in use of computer applications relevant to the work area operating systems, word processing and clinical information systems e.g. IPM, Riskman and Kronos
