About the role
 
We are looking for an enthusiastic Leisure & Activities Officer to join our friendly and close-knit team at Calvary Capel Sound, VIC!
We offer permanent part time shifts!
 
The Leisure & Activities Officer is part of an integrated team of people working within an established and agreed framework supporting the resident to live their best life.
 
 
Your main duties will include:
  • To respect every residents individual character, personality and right to independence to continue an enjoyable, healthy and productive lifestyle.
  • To develop formal and informal activity programs designed to improve and maintain the quality of life of residents.
  • To provide social and recreational programs that meet the needs of the residents. 
About you
  • Certificate IV Leisure & Lifestyle or other relevant qualification. 
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal
  • Experience in the planning, implementation and evaluation of activities and programmes for frail people with cognitive impairment and other disabilities.
  • Ability to document assessments, care plans and progress notes to meet legislative, funding and quality improvement requirements. 
  • Ability to work and communicate with people of all ages and cognitive ability and to obtain their trust and co-operation. 
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation.
