About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Leisure & Activities Officer to join our friendly and close-knit team at Calvary Capel Sound, VIC! We offer permanent part time shifts!
The Leisure & Activities Officer is part of an integrated team of people working within an established and agreed framework supporting the resident to live their best life.
Your main duties will include:
To respect every residents individual character, personality and right to independence to continue an enjoyable, healthy and productive lifestyle.
To develop formal and informal activity programs designed to improve and maintain the quality of life of residents.
To provide social and recreational programs that meet the needs of the residents.
About you
Certificate IV Leisure & Lifestyle or other relevant qualification.
Current First Aid Certificate.
Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal
Experience in the planning, implementation and evaluation of activities and programmes for frail people with cognitive impairment and other disabilities.
Ability to document assessments, care plans and progress notes to meet legislative, funding and quality improvement requirements.
Ability to work and communicate with people of all ages and cognitive ability and to obtain their trust and co-operation.
A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation.
