Clinical Care Coordinator – Neurosurgery
RN level 2 - 0.8 FTE

An exciting opportunity has become available for a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to undertake the position of Clinical Care Coordinator in Neurosurgery at Calvary Adelaide Hospital. This role is a 4 day per week position spread across Monday to Friday commencing on 29th January 2026. With dual reporting to the Clinical Care Coordinator Manager and the Neurosurgical Clinical Manager, this key role is responsible for assisting in and coordinating complex discharge planning in accordance with health fund DRG’s and desired length of stay.
The successful Registered Nurse will have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of surgical procedures and expected length of stay, as well as demonstrating effective working relationships with Visiting Medical Officers, Managers and Nursing and Allied Health teams.
Applications are invited from Registered Nurses who have a minimum of 3 years post qualification acute experience who wish to develop skills in case management and discharge planning
Requirements:
- Registered as a nurse with AHPRA and holds a current practicing certificate.
- Minimum 3 years acute care clinical experience as a registered nurse
- Highly developed clinical skills integrated with highly developed interpersonal skills.
- Ability to plan and establish work priorities with a high level of attention to detail.
- Proven organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Commitment to excellence in customer service and continuous quality improvement
- Willingness to engage and promote a positive ward culture
- Neurosurgical experience desired
- Knowledge of varied health funds and length of stay expectations
