About the role
Calvary Adelaide Hospital have an exciting opportunity to work in a busy Cardiac Care Unit in a state-of-the-art hospital. We are a unique Cardiac Care Unit offering our team flexible rostering and are keen to work around your family needs. We have a wonderful culture with a friendly and fun team and staffing levels that are all about patient care and safety.
In CCU, we value our staff and want to look after our nursing cohort. We have an excellent mix of acute patients; our environment and equipment are new with excellent workspaces that are designed for great patient care
What you bring:
- Registered Nurse with APHRA
- Minimum of 3 years Cardiac Experience.
- Working towards or interest in commencing the Graduate Diploma in Cardiac Nursing (to gain knowledge to support the role)
- Kindness and respect for those around you.
- Ability to work proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills.
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation.
- Valid authority to work in Australia.
Your main duties will include:
- Team Leader role in Cardiac Unit
- Precepting / Mentoring of junior staff and students
- Assisting manager in staffing issues and supporting staff
- Acting in manager role as required
- Quality improvement projects / portfolios
