 About the role:

We are looking for a Nurse Educator to join our Palliative Care Nursing Team at Calvary Kogarah. The post holder will provide coordination, delivery, and evaluation of clinical nurse education (including programs) at the ward/unit level.  Such education may include orientation and/or transitioning for new nursing staff, undergraduate and casual nurses as well as meeting the ongoing educational needs of existing nursing staff.  Provide clinical supervision at the point of care within everyday clinical practice, in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Board standards for practice.

Selection criteria:

  • Ability to work within the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Kogarah
  • Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency
  • Holds a relevant clinical or education post registration qualification or 3 years clinical experience in the field
  • Demonstrated knowledge of innovative educational strategies, tools and approaches including online and blended learning initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within the interdisciplinary team and demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and demonstrated computer literacy including an electronic patient record system
