About the role
As the Acting Clinical Nurse, you will demonstrate a positive, proactive approach and provide clinical leadership to support the delivery of safe, evidence-based, patient-centred care. You will mentor and develop nursing staff, promote professional growth within the team, and work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients. FTE 0.9 (negotiable) Permanent part-time.
Your main duties will include:
- Providing support and guidance to junior/inexperienced Oncology/Haematology staff
- Work collaboratively with the Clinical Manager
- Develop close working relationships with the MDT
About you
- A minimum of three years' experience in Haematology/Oncology nursing.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Oncology, or currently working towards completion.
- Advanced clinical knowledge and skills in Haematology/Oncology. (Cytotoxic administration competency)
- Accountability for delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centred care.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching, mentoring and precepting staff.
