About the Role

Calvary Adelaide Hospital is seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Nurse to join our Urology team on Level 3. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role within a specialised surgical and acute care environment, supporting high-quality patient outcomes and clinical excellence.

Working closely with the Clinical Manager and multidisciplinary team, you will provide clinical leadership, mentorship and support to nursing staff while ensuring best practice standards are upheld across the ward. You will play a key role in fostering a collaborative and patient-focused culture within the unit.

Calvary Adelaide Hospital is South Australia’s newest and largest private hospital, featuring 23 Operating Theatres and Procedural Rooms, 344 inpatient rooms, 20 ICU beds, a 24-hour Emergency Department and rehabilitation services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and support to the Level 3 Urology team
  • Coordinate and deliver high-quality patient-centred care
  • Support the Clinical Manager in developing and maintaining sound clinical practices, policies and procedures
  • Mentor and support Registered, Enrolled, Graduate and Student Nurses
  • Liaise effectively with Visiting Medical Officers and the broader multidisciplinary team
  • Promote a culture of clinical excellence, safety and continuous improvement
  • Ensure adherence to relevant clinical standards, policies and evidence-based practice

What You Bring

  • Current AHPRA Nursing Registration
  • Minimum two (2) years post graduate nursing experience in an acute hospital setting
  • Demonstrated clinical experience within surgical nursing, ideally within urology or related specialties
  • Strong understanding of contemporary nursing practice and patient-centred care
  • Proven ability to lead, support and engage multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritise workload efficiently
  • A commitment to quality improvement and clinical excellence
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission-based organisation
