About the role
 
The Concierge – Hyson Apartments supports the Retirement Manager through administrative and maintaining systems and procedures to provide a key service to Hyson residents, providing standard concierge services through to a referral service to support residents to remain comfortably in their apartment. The concierge plays an important role in creating a great first impression and providing on-going assistance and support to our residents, through the provision of a flexible and responsive service which adapts to the changing needs of residents.
 
We are seeking a reliable Casual to support backfill of the role for planned and unplanned leave. Candidates MUST be available for work Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday each week - with the option of picking up additional shifts to backfill Thursday, Friday, Saturday
 
Your main duties will include:
  • Ensuring the Hyson Apartment retirement village is maintained at the level required to deliver a high quality standard of living for residents. 
  • Support village operations through managing client information systems. 
  • Create a welcoming environment and develop and maintain strong relationships with residents, providing in depth orientation for new residents and coordinating village activities. 
  • Support the independent living of residents by facilitating delivery of on-site services and supporting access to facilities available at Calvary Kooyong in line with organisational processes and policies.
About you
  • Previous experience in a similar concierge/guest services role ideally within the hotel, hospitality or travel industry
  • Demonstrated ability to providing excellent customer service with empathy and patience
  • Experience meeting expectations and pre-empting the needs of a discerning clientele
  • Possessing a high standard of grooming and personal presentation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
  • High attention to detail, organised, with an ability to prioritise and manage time efficiently
  • Experience multi-tasking, within a busy, guest service environment
