About the role
Join Calvary Lenah Valley as a CSSD Team Leader and support the CSSD Manager in delivering safe, efficient, and compliant sterilisation services across the hospital. This role coordinates CSSD Technicians in all aspects of reusable medical device processing including decontamination, inspection, assembly, packing, sterilisation, transport, and storage. You will ensure equipment is fully operational through monitoring, maintenance, and documentation, while supplying sterile goods to operating theatres, wards, and other areas to support optimal patient care.
About you:
- Holds Certificate III in Sterilisation Services (or equivalent) with extensive experience and knowledge in sterilisation services
- Proven leadership skills in coordinating teams, rostering, performance appraisals, and staff orientation/training in a CSSD environment
- Strong understanding of HICMR processes, instrument cleaning/processing, quality assurance, equipment maintenance, and tracking systems
- Excellent organisational abilities in managing stock inventory, compliance, incident reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Commitment to safety, WHS policies, and Calvary's values of healing, hospitality, stewardship, and respect, with good interpersonal and communication skills
