We are seeking a detail-oriented CSSD Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the cleaning, sterilisation, and preparation of surgical instruments and medical equipment, ensuring compliance with infection control standards. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards. Previous experience in sterilisation services or healthcare settings is preferred but not essential, as training may be provided.
Part time and Casuals roles available.
Your main duties will include:
- Clean, decontaminate, and sterilise surgical instruments and medical equipment
- Operate sterilisation equipment (e.g. autoclaves) safely and efficiently
- Maintain accurate records of sterilisation cycles and tracking systems
- Ensure compliance with infection control policies and industry standards
- Report faults, damaged instruments, or equipment issues promptly
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment
About you
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to follow strict infection control and safety procedures
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Reliable, punctual, and accountable
- Basic computer skills for tracking and documentation systems
- Certificate III or higher in Sterilisation Services
