About the role
The Nurse Unit Manager of Calvary Riverina’s Day Surgery Unit, The Surgicentre, works closely with the Perioperative team and in particular the Deputy Director of Perioperative Services to support the organisation and department’s business objectives and safe high quality patient care.
The Nurse Unit Manager provides high level clinical leadership, models the values of Calvary and supports a positive and professional workplace culture.
The role is full time, Monday to Friday. The Surgicentre is a stand alone day surgery service, but the Nurse Unit Manager may be required to work within theatres at the main hospital campus.Your main duties will include:
- Managing the day to day operations of the day surgery unit to ensure smooth and efficient workflow
- Maintaining high clinical standards within the day surgery unit
- Participation in quality improvement initiatives contributing to the overall performance of the unit
About you
- Current AHPRA registration
- A minimum of 3 years post graduate experience in public and/or private health sector
- Proven management experience or leadership experience
