About the role
The Director of Clinical Services is the clinical and professional lead for nursing and midwifery at Calvary John James Hospital (CJJH).
This role works in collaboration with the General Manager and senior executive team to provide strategic leadership and to facilitate the optimal operational requirements of the hospital. The Director of Clinical Services provides leadership, direction and guidance to clinical managers to ensure the consistent provision of high-quality person-centred care and support the delivery of appropriate workforce strategies to promote Calvary John James Hospital as a centre of health care excellence.
Your main duties will include:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for clinical services.
- Ensure high standards of patient care and clinical governance.
- Support and develop staff through training and opportunities.
About you
- Minimum five (5) years post-graduate nursing experience.
- Substantial clinical experience in nursing/midwifery.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational, leadership, change management and time management skills.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with nursing teams, medical practitioners and other key stakeholders.
