About the role
The Director of Commercial – Strategy is responsible for developing and leading the organisation's commercial strategy to drive sustainable growth, revenue diversification, market expansion, and long-term enterprise value.
This role provides strategic leadership across commercial planning, mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, revenue generation, pricing strategy, contract negotiation, and market positioning. The Director works closely with executive leaders to identify growth opportunities, optimise commercial performance, and establish strategic partnerships that support organisational objectives.
The position plays a critical role in translating organisational strategy into commercially viable initiatives, ensuring commercial decisions are supported by robust analysis, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement
Your main duties will include:
- Develop and execute the organisation's commercial strategy aligned to corporate objectives.
- Identify and evaluate new revenue opportunities, market segments, products, services, and business models.
- Lead strategic planning processes relating to commercial growth and market expansion.
- Conduct market analysis to identify industry trends, competitive dynamics, customer needs, and emerging opportunities.
- Develop commercial frameworks that support sustainable revenue growth and profitability.
- Advise executive leadership on strategic investments, acquisitions, partnerships, and commercial priorities.
- Provide high-quality commercial analysis and strategic recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team and Board.
- Lead the development of business cases, scenario modelling, and financial assessments to support major investments and enterprise planning.
- Lead commercial performance planning, forecasting, and reporting to drive revenue growth and achieve strategic targets.
- Develop commercial models, pricing strategies, and performance metrics that maximise revenue, customer value, and operational efficiency.
About you
Experience
- Significant senior leadership experience in commercial strategy, business development, partnerships, or corporate strategy.
- Demonstrated success delivering revenue growth and commercial outcomes in complex environments.
- Experience leading large-scale commercial negotiations and strategic partnerships.
- Proven capability in developing and implementing enterprise-level growth strategies.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience evaluating business opportunities and investment decisions.
- Building and developing high performing teams
- Experience influencing executive leadership teams and Boards
