About the role
We are seeking a motivated Nursing Unit Manager (Level 1) to join our supportive and developing team. The NUM 1 is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of perioperative services in the main hospital theatre complex, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow, in addition to providing leadership and management of staff, services and resources to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and quality nursing care.
The successful applicant will bring energy and enthusiasm to the role and work collaboratively with the Nurse Unit Manager of the Surgicentre (the off site day surgery unit) under the direction of the Deputy Director of Perioperative Services.
The role is a full time position, working predominantly Monday - Friday flexible shift times between 7:30 and 18:30
Your main duties will include:
- Fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Managing the day to day operations of the unit.
- Maintaining high clinical standards within the unit.
About you
- Current AHPRA registration
- A minimum of 3 years post graduate experience in public and/or private health care sector
- Proven management or leadership experience
