Executive Assistant – Calvary Launceston

Calvary Launceston is entering an exciting new chapter, with significant service development and transformation underway across our St Vincent’s and St Luke’s campuses. We are seeking a highly capable and motivated Executive Assistant to support our General Manager and Director of Clinical Services during this dynamic period.
This is a rare opportunity to work at the heart of hospital leadership, contributing to the coordination of key governance, operational and strategic initiatives that will shape the future of healthcare delivery in Northern Tasmania.
About the Role
As Executive Assistant, you will provide high-level executive, administrative and governance support, ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the Executive Office. You will play a central role in enabling strong leadership and supporting high-quality, timely decision-making across the hospital.
This is a fast-paced and highly visible role where you will:
- Manage complex executive diaries, workflows and communications
- Coordinate governance processes, including committees and key decision-making forums
- Prepare high-quality reports, agendas, minutes and executive documentation
- Support clinical governance activities, including medical credentialing
- Facilitate communication across senior leaders, clinicians and external stakeholders
- Anticipate priorities and ensure the Executive team is well-prepared and informed
About You
You are an experienced Executive Assistant who thrives in a complex, high-performing environment, ideally within healthcare or a similarly regulated setting.
You bring:
- Extensive experience supporting senior executives
- Strong governance and committee secretariat experience
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills
- High-level written and verbal communication capabilities
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and confidence with digital tools
- Sound judgement, discretion and professionalism
- The ability to build relationships across clinical, operational and executive stakeholders
- Experience with hospital operations, clinical governance or accreditation processes will be highly regarded.
