About the role
 

We are seeking an experienced and values‑driven General Manager to oversee a portfolio of residential aged care homes and lead high‑performing teams in delivering exceptional care and service. In this pivotal leadership role, you will champion Calvary’s mission and values—bringing compassion, stewardship, hospitality and respect to life through every interaction with residents, families, staff and volunteers.

Working closely with the Regional COO, you will shape business performance, ensure operational excellence, and build a culture of continuous improvement across your portfolio. This is an opportunity to lead with influence, inspire transformation, and strengthen the wellbeing of our residents and people while ensuring long‑term organisational sustainability.

 
Your main duties will include:
  • Lead, mentor and develop Home Managers to achieve excellence in care, employee wellbeing and service quality across all homes.
  • Drive operational and financial performance, ensuring budget achievement, optimal occupancy, and compliance with aged care standards.
  • Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships to support growth, reputation and community engagement.

 

About you

  • A strategic and inspirational leader with proven experience in aged care, health or related service industries.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, with a track record of delivering operational results and leading high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to build relationships, influence outcomes and drive cultural and organisational change.
  • Deep commitment to quality care, safety leadership and service excellence, aligned with Calvary’s mission and values.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in health, business or similar, along with compliance requirements
