Selection Criteria:
- A Primary Medical Degree registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons or other specialist recognition as provided for the NSW (Non-Declared) AHO Staff Specialist Agreement or the Health Insurance Act 1973.
- Experience and qualification(s) in General Surgery and Emergency General Surgery.
- High level communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated capability to negotiate and implement change.
- Ability to work proficiently and in an organised manner as a member of a multidisciplinary team and unsupervised in periods of high demand and activity.
- Ability to teach from undergraduate to postgraduate level with commitment to own personal and professional development.
Pre-employment conditions:
- Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or hold a visa with unlimited rights to work in Australia.
- Successfully complete pre-employment checks. Checks include reference checks, work rights, criminal history check and WWCC.
- Provide evidence of immunisation as required for the role.
