About the role

Calvary’s graphic designers are pivotal in creating and updating a diverse range of design materials for use across internal and external environments, as part of a purpose-driven, and encouraging team of designers dedicated to making a genuine impact.

In this permanent full-time in-house role, you will work in a hybrid environment that features set, yet flexible hours designed to help you maintain a work-life balance. You will also participate in a streamlined workflow with a sustainable workload that takes projects from clear briefs, to refined final artwork. You will ensure our brand identity is represented accurately by working closely with the marketing and communications teams, along with stakeholders from across Calvary’s hospitals, residential aged care, retirement communities and home care. As Brand ambassadors, your work is not just about great design and best practice; it’s about delivering meaningful fit-for-purpose visual communication that improves lives while upholding Calvary’s mission, vision, and values.

Your main duties will include:

• Create and optimise digital and print-ready assets, including but not limited to digital communications, creative event campaigns, document branding, website images, EDMs, social media content, infographics, brochures, flyers, banners, advertisements, and outdoor signage.
• Applying the corporate brand to designed media (artworking), setting up branded templates, and designing a number of large creative campaigns throughout the year.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to support design projects from briefing to final delivery.
• Implement best practice and research to develop Calvary’s branding collateral, and continually improve the way we work.

About you

• Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communications or similar.
• Demonstrated experience in creative graphic design skills with a portfolio of digital and print (3+ years).
• Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop. Experience with MS Word and MS Powerpoint. Experience with Canva desired, but not essential.
• Self-motivated, positive attitude with a high degree of initiative and ability to work autonomously.
• Strong understanding of layout composition, visual design principles and latest technologies, with the ability to apply them to marketing communications.
